We know that the cost of caring for your pets can be daunting, especially since many owners do not have pet health insurance. The costs of emergency services are usually higher than routine care, and often these situations arise at inopportune times for your finances. While we are unable to offer payment plans, and require payment upfront, that doesn’t mean you don’t have other options!
Have you heard about Care Credit? It is a payment option that we take at SOVSC. It is a line of credit but is different from a normal credit card in that there can be more flexibility in paying it off. Care Credit can be used for many different healthcare costs, for both humans and pets!
On their website they explain the possible flexibility of payments: “With shorter term financing options of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months no interest is charged on purchases of $200 or more when you make the minimum monthly payments and pay the full amount due by the end of the promotional period. If you do not, interest is charged from the original purchase date.” Obtaining Care Credit and qualifying for the promotional financing options are subject to approval.
One of the great things about this option is that you can use Care Credit for healthcare costs for anyone in your family, including your pets! Emergency service costs can be inconvenient, but you’re not without options. We just wanted to let you know about Care Credit. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
